Ma'Desa was born and raised in Indianapolis, In. Ma'Desa has had a love and passion for writing since she was a child. Ma'Desa and her little sister often wrote short stories and made cards to celebrate certain special occasions in life. Ma'Desa attended Broad Ripple High School and was enrolled in the Center For Performing Arts Magnet.

Ma'Desa attended Broad Ripple High School and was enrolled in the Center For Performing Arts Magnet. Under the leadership of Gari Williams, Ma'Desa learned and was able to further develop not only her acting skills, but writing skills as well. Ma'Desa began her writing career in 2010 as a Relationship and Love Columnist for the Examiner online magazine. In 2011 she started the Girlfriend Chronicles series as a set of short stories titled The Girlfriend Chronicles...30 Something...Single & Searching
in addition to a poetry/creative writing blog titles, My Words From My Lips. Ma'Desa self published her first printed novel The Girlfriend Chronicles....Secrets, Skeletons, & Sticky Situations in March of 2017. Ma'Desa is a mother of 2 and currently resides in Phoenix, Arizona.
